Tap Room Tour: Odell Brewing, Ft. Collins

Chris Jensen · July 9

I'd been to Odell's about 7 years ago, well before the recent remodel. Back then it was overshadowed by its striking neighor, New Belgium. It was modest, but not in a start-up brewery kind of way. More in a production brewery that didn't pay attention to the details way.

As we mentioned in our post on the world's best Double IPAs, we are quite fond of Odell's. They make outstanding beer, some of the best in the state (if not the country). Myrcenary is unbelievable, but for a good ole regular IPA I'll take their standard offering any day of the week.

They remodeled the tap room a few months ago, and it now lives up to the beer they serve. The place is georgeous inside and out, with lovely stone dominating the exterior facade, and an airy, bright and surprisingly large interior. Inside you'll find 3 different places you can order beer, meaning you should never have to stand in a line. Most of their beers are easy to find elsewhere, though it's nice to have them all in one place. They featured a few seasonals and one collaboration. They also had 3 beers which would be difficult to find outside of the tap room, which was a great treat for an Odell loyalist like myself. They've got a huge merch shop for those looking to pick up a souvenir (check out the bamboo shirts). Outside you'll find ample seating for well over a hundred people on a variety of shaded tables, as well as a couple of well manicured lawns where people set out with picnic blankets. On the day I was there they also had an amazing food truck.

It's also kid friendly, so bring the youngsters (you'll need someone to drive you all the way back to Denver anyways).

The Odell Tap room is located at 800 East Lincoln Ave Fort Collins, CO 80524. Hours are Sun - Tues: 11am to 6pm, Wed - Sat: 11am - 7pm with brewery tours starting at 1, 2, 3 and 4 pm every day.
